WHAT A KIND OF MAN
One day, a hunter caught an owl in his trap. It was a paradise owl. The owl begged the hunter to free it. In return, the owl promised to give him three wishes.
“Give me a large, luxurious, furnished house with a beatiful garden,” said the hunter. And there, in front of him, was the house he wanted. “Give me a very huge box of gold coins,” he asked. And again he got what he wanted. “Give me a very beautiful, loving wife who is good at cooking.” And he got what he wanted once again. Then, the owl was released by the hunter. The owl was flying happy. And the hunter lived in the forest with those things.
Sometimes later, the hunter forgot about his past, he became rude and didn’t care about nature. He made all parts of the forest became his home, and he killed and sold all animals that lived there.
The hunter became a rich man who lost his vision, he also became famous in the country. There was a man who hated the hunter very much, his name was Jamal.
Jamal was a trader from middle east. He was very succesful and he built a big home. He hated the hunter a lot, because the hunter attitudes.
Jamal thought a way to destroy the hunter properties, while the hunter was partying in the backyard on his home. While Jamal thinking, his wife said to him,”Abi, how about if you burn his house ?” Jamal nod silently, he was still not sure what he must do, but then, he said,”yes, is a good idea, well, I will patch a hundred of men to burn his house.”
Next day, Jamal asked a hundred of men to burn the hunter house, and he bribed the police chief to ignore the activities.
In the night, Jamal’s men were starting to move. They were carrying a full gallon of oil in their back. They were guided by Jamal to go there, and Jamal was carrying a torch. A few times later, they arrived around the hunter house. Then, Jamal command his men to pour the oil around the the hunter house. All of area around the hunter house was very slippery, becuase the oil was everywhere, even trees, bushes, and flowers became wet and slippery. After that, after they poured the oil, Jamal command them to leave, and then, Jamal threw the torch to the hunter house.
Flame everywhere, heat spread around the house area. The hunter woke up from his sleep because the heat, he looked out from the window. “WHAAAT THE HELL IS GOING ON ?!!!?” he surprised because the flame that everywhere around his house. He woke his wife up, and then he tried to escape. But there was nowhere to go, all room below his bedroom was eaten by fire. And the hunter decided to escape to the roof.
The owl paradise got a bad feeling, it felt that it must go find the hunter. Then, it started to fly to the forest. The owl paradise surprised, it became panic.
he hunter looked on the sky, and he found a shining owl that he recognized as paradise owl that can grant any wishes, then he called it,”OWL ! OWL !” the owl paradise which still flying looked below, then he came to the hunter.
“owl, can you put these flames out ?” the hunter asked, and then, all of the flame gone. “thanks owl,” said the hunter while he was trying to catch the owl again.
“aakk... aakk... !” the owl got caught again. “you must give me all of my wish now, if you not want, i’ll burn you !” said the hunter to the owl. But, a miracle happens, the owl eyes was shining, it opened it beak, and from the beak emerged a very bright light.
The light was very bright, and from the wings, emerged light too, from eyes, from stomach, and finally from all of the parts of the body emerged very strong bright light. The hunter afraid of it, he threw the owl to the ground. But the owl suddenly flied and stopped in front of the hunter.
“you got rich, you got a loving wife, but you became arrogant, and now, your house burned, and a poor owl help you, but you want your properties back again by forcing a poor owl, and because of you, the poor owl become angry and now the owl speaking in the front of the hunter. Now, from today, you must survive by yourself, and all give that i grant to you will lost.” After the owl said that, it lost.
The hunter stupefied, he didn’t believe what he saw, he turned left his head, tried to look for his wife, but he can’t found her. He rethought what the owl says, and then he watched himself. He sighed, “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” he cried aloud.
From that day, he lived poorly, he lived in a far place, because there were no one in the town who respected him. He regret his decision in the past. From that day until his time of death, he still lived alone and nobody cared about him. Poor hunter.
